The Puntland Diabetic Association (PDA), in collaboration with Caafi Clinic and Diabetic Center, successfully commemorated World Diabetes Day 2024 in the city of Bosaso, Puntland.
The event was organized with the active participation and support of the Bosaso Local Government and the Puntland Ministry of Health, highlighting strong cooperation between non-governmental organizations, healthcare institutions, and government authorities in addressing public health challenges.
The commemoration aimed to raise public awareness about diabetes prevention, early detection, and proper management of the disease, which continues to pose a growing health challenge in Puntland and beyond.
During the event, participants benefited from:

Health education sessions on diabetes prevention and management
Medical advice promoting healthy lifestyles and regular check-ups
Officials from the Puntland Ministry of Health and representatives of the Bosaso Local Government emphasized the importance of community awareness and early diagnosis in reducing diabetes-related complications.
